- Call your Insurance agent, and get your medical insurance in place in case you don’t have one yet. Not just yourself but everyone who is traveling with you. This is especially important while going to a place where you don’t know anyone at all. In today’s time when diseases are as common as breathing air, its a must to have a medical insurance before leaving your territory.

- Always keep Scanned copies of your Passport and Visa before leaving. First and last pages are most important. If in case you come across passport loss or theft, you’d be most thankful for having a backup like this to start with passport retrieval process from embassy and foreign authorities. Keep this in your email account so it is accessible at all times.

- Better to travel with traveler exchequers instead of heavy cash. Carrying lots of cash could unnecessary worry you plus is a potential threat to your safety in a foreign land.

- Luggage needs to be locked at all times, therefore invest once and all in good locks and quality luggage.
In case of important documents and money, use the hotel provided safety vault.
