Among all the city walls, Zhonghua Gate is best-preserved city gates up to now which is located in the southern part of Nanjing city. And it’s the largest city gate in China, it was designed for resist any invasion. This project was so complicated that Zhonghua Gate is divided into two layers. There are 27 separated bunkers used for hiding as many as 3000 soldiers. Nanjing is the only city in China where you have opportunities to experience this kind of grand project.
