There are several kinds of backpack according to the materials. Such as plastic, nylon, leather and synthetic fibers backpack. How to choose the right backpack for school?

Comfort is the most important factor for you to consider. Wide padded straps will helps to release the strength. A backpack with padded back will make you more comfortable when walking. And the right size will make you feel comfortable. Choose the backpack which was designed with adjustable straps and soft handle. Thumb loops are a great addition.

Do not choose the too small or too large one. Not the bigger the better. You should consider that which size is best for your child by considering with the age and height of your child. And you also should consider that how many books or other stuffs your child would put in the backpack.

The material of the backpack is one the most important factor for you to consider. Leather backpacks may be durable but they are considerably heavier and may retain water if they get wet. Nylon or canvas material is the better choice for you. And there is another material synthetic fiber is better than nylon or canvas. It is much durable and light weight. Having multiple compartments may also help your children find items much easier.

Choose the heavy duty zipper. The brass zipper is the best choice for its durability. Backpack tends to break easily at the zipper for over using. Backpack with zippers that open 2/3 of the pack enable your child to remove items without emptying the bag entirely.

There are two more features that would assist in distribution are a waist belt and sternum strap. Both of these items will help keep the weight distributed evenly which will save your child from having excessive shoulder pain.

There are also some wheeled backpacks for you to choose. But you may check that if it is allowed in your child’s school before buying such backpack.
